College Degrees from LOGOS Christian College and Graduate School
All courses and our entire Bible-based degree curriculum can be taken as credit toward a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Christian Counseling through LOGOS Christian College and Graduate School.
QUALIFICATIONS
LOGOS and Word of Life Counseling Training Institute classes and materials are available to anyone wishing to use them. However, those wishing to obtain a LOGOS degree and actually counsel other persons as part of their supervised practicum must meet certain qualifications.
1. Have a personal committed relationship with Jesus Christ
2. Attend church at least weekly and be submitted to a local church pastor
3. Be reasonably mature in their Christian walk.
4. Have reasonable sobriety if they have a history of addictive or codependent behavior.
5. Respect differing Christian viewpoints.
6. Maintain a good reputation as a Christian in doctrine, speech, and behavior.
LOGOS and Word of Life Institute retain the right to deny acceptance to this counseling program and withhold the granting of counseling degrees to those they feel are not qualified to counsel others for reasons deemed adequate.
APPLYING TO LOGOS
In order to apply for college credit with the LOGOS Educators Network you must:
1. Apply for admission ($40) and be accepted to LOGOS Christian College and Graduate School. If you are not intending to pursue a degree in Christian counseling indicate that on the application form. If you wish to obtain a degree you must submit all the information required for a evaluation ($20). Scan and E-mail the entire application package to treiner@wolm.org or mail it to: Word of Life Institute, 3811 N. Meridian Avenue, Wichita, Kansas. To avoid confusion do not mail it directly to LOGOS. You can pay the admisson and evaluation fees below.
Pay LOGOS admission ($40) and evaluation ($20) fees $60

2. When you receive your evaluation, LOGOS will list the number of credits required to complete your degree, the entire cost for that degree, and offer to finance it by paying a certain amount each month. They will also give a list of classes to take. This list does not apply to our students. You will take our courses instead. If you do not chose to accept this plan, you will be required to pay the required tuition fees prior to each class. As of 2009, these fees are $75 per undergraduate credit hour ($225 per course) and $105 per graduate credit hour ($315 per course).

3. You may obtain the syllabus and requirements on each course page on this website.
4. Complete all assignments and tests and forward them to Word of Life Institute for grading. Grades for completed courses will be forwarded to LOGOS for recording on your transcript. Transcripts are obtained directly from LOGOS.

TRAINING OPTIONS
DEGREES THROUGH OUR RESIDENCE SCHOOL IN WICHITA
If you live within driving distance of Wichita, Kansas you can complete you degree at our residence campus at Word of Life Counseling Training Institute. It is always advantageous to take classes in residence because it is easier to ask questions and you get the benefit of the discussion after the lectures. You also can avail yourself of our hands-on support group and supervision meetings along with other students.
DEGREES THROUGH DVD HOME STUDY
Another way to obtain your degree is through our home DVD program. Purchasing the actual DVDs allow you to take your courses at your own pace and watch the lectures when you want to without high speed access to the Internet. DVDs also provide a larger presentation of the classes on you TV or computer. However, this method of study costs slightly more because you must purchase the DVDs for each course. If you return them in excellent condition we will refund half of the purchase price. Of course, the instructors are available by E-mail to answer any of your questions. Your practicum supervision will either be provided by a local counselor or pastor, or by phone with one of our counselors.

BACHELOR IN CHRISTIAN COUNSELING DEGREE
This curriculum program is for those who feel called by God to be a part or fulltime Christian counselor and have not yet earned a Bachelor level degree. This LOGOS Christian College Bachelor Degree requires 120 credit hours. College courses taken at other colleges or universities may be accepted as credit toward this degree and as many as 30 credit hours can be granted by LOGOS as life experience credit for prior ministry experience. Up to 15 credits can be earned by taking and passing a Bible knowledge test. All courses are 3 credit hours and the course numbers correspond to similar courses offered in the LOGOS catalogue. MASTER OF CHRISTIAN COUNSELING DEGREE
This degree curriculum is designed for those who have already earned a Bachelor of Christian Counseling Degree or a bachelor level degree in an associated field. Those with degrees in areas not associated with counseling may be required to take additional courses as a prerequisite for this program on a case-by-case basis. A minimum of 36 credit hours are required for this LOGOS degree. It can be completed in as little as one year. However, a two-year program is recommended to allow for additional counseling experience. Courses taken at other colleges and universities may be accepted in place of some of the required courses or electives on a case-by- case basis. Courses taken for graduate credit usually require additional papers, text books, or work if the course is also offered at the Bachelor level.
